Different than what?
Stator design, dampener springs, fin angle, k factor, bolt circle, input spline, standing height, crank pilot are all factors the manufacture has to consider when designing it.

The 2005 was the first C6 Corvette. GM changed over to the LS style 4L60e and designed a new bolt pattern for it. In 2006 they went to the 6L80, but did keep the same bolt pattern. So the 2005 is the odd ball year with the LS style 4L60.
