trans problems

trans problems I just had a yank ss 3600 stall put in. When driving in drive, half way through 2nd gear the gear doesnt engage anymore. But if i start from a stop and put it in 1st then in second it goes all the way through 2nd as soon as i put it in drive the rpms go up but it doesnt eccalerate. ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS????
