Default 4l60 variations?

Got a friend with a Low mile built 4l60/700r and a 3000stall I can get for $ 800 .. The trans is built for 500hp , it was in use with a SBC in an SS chevele . Will I be able to use it in my non electric 4l60/700r 93 T/A?

I gather you can use just about any 700r4 with the differences being the tail shaft housing and the plug connection. The 700 has a 4 pin and the 4l60 has a 5 pin.

Uh huh... What plug connection? It's non electric.. I haven't have it out or looked at it so forgive my ignorance, but is any of that a deal breaker? Or easily remedied ?

The computer still controls the lockup of the TCC. Just a connecter splice.
