What shifter for RMVB?

What shifter for RMVB? Sorry guys, I'm still a newb to auto trannys.
I have a Powerglide with a reverse manual valve body. It has the option of running a few different brand shifters. One hole for a Hurts shifter, one for B&M and then one for TCI.
My question is, do I have to get a shifter specifically for a reverse manual valve body, or is just how the cable is set up on the tranny that makes it work with a RMVB?
