Help pin point what needs to be fixed now After my car heats up on normal driving the transmission jerks into 3rd gear. And then stays in 3rd. When i leave red lights and stop signs i have to give it alot of gas to leave. And at WOT from a stop it doeznt even spin. Please help guys i know nothing about transmissions. And i took it to a shop around here and the mechanic said drop the pan change the filter and fluid. I was planning on doing this tomorrow but i would like some input before. Stock a4. Any suggeztions will help thanks!

Well i changed the filter and fluid. Problem is still there. Im going to buy new shift solenoids and a revmax stall hopefully that will clear out the problem. Any suggestions or tips would be awesome. Thanks.

you should have the car scanned to see what codes you have.
