Likely not, but understand the trans is not designed to do this, so in my eyes it increases the risk of catastrophic/premature failure.

when i get to about 130 i'm in the rev limiter. I have let off the gas for the trans shift. Just dont like it but dont want to cause problems either.

The trans just isn't designed to do WOT in 4th gear, plus it increases the strain on the engine exponentially. Very tough gear to climb, huge increase in wind resistance, and extremely long periods in the top 20% of your rpm band.

You can wreck the trans and/or the engine. 4th gear in an A4 (5th/6th in M6) just arent designed to handle that kind of abuse. I know its not an LS1, but Ive heard of quite a few people losing the motors in the Lightnings due to a WOT 4th gear pull.

Yep, back when my car was auto the tranny it met its demise pretty quick after going into 4th at wot once... Wish i would have took the time to learn that was a no no before hand.

I see you have a performabuilt tranny, but i would still refrain from a wot 3-4 shift if at all possible.

So I guess it is not recommended to do any top speed runs in an A4 then? Not that I do it all the time but was just wondering.
