Source for rebuilt 3.8 4L60E?
yeah I know it's not a LSX, but you guys deal with the 4L60E all the time. Will probably be picking up a VERY clean 4th gen 3.8 'Bird for my son's first car. Looks like it might need a new tranny. Price if right, so can't argue too much.
Since it won't be getting raced and it's a 3.8, any source for solid rebuild? I'd rather not tear it down and do it myself. Went through several 200R4 builds back in my G-Body days and I got my fill of the red fluid in ever nook and cranny of the shop.

Here in SE Michigan, there are dozens of rebuilt trans advertised on Craigslist for under $600. Obviously not heavy duty units, but if you can confirm the shop has been around for a few years and offers a warranty, it might be worth a shot.
Or get a broken one for $100, get a $200 rebuild kit and go at it.
(I'm rebuilding two right now just for fun and to learn as much as possible while trying out dozens of Sonnax parts, different shells, etc.)
