6L80E trans what shifter?
6L80E trans what shifter? I have a 93 mustang that I am working on and I am going to swap a ls3 in it I am also going to throw a 6l80e trans, I'm having a hard time trying to find a shifter for it, I know the new corvettes and new camaros use that 6 speed aut trans but can't find a used shifter, I heard that the g6 uses the same trans?? and can be used??

If your planning on auto only, you can make about anything work, same if you want to to add paddle shifter. Auto & TU/TD shifter, G8 & Caddy's work, just trim on caddy's is nicer.
Problem with G8 and Caddy TU/TD shifter is how tall they are.

nice thanks guys! I was planning on having the trans shift it's self and later on adding paddle shifting, would it be a good idea to get a caddy or g8 shifter with tu/td and then add the paddle kit or just get any shifter for now? can I use a 4l60e shifter like the one in the 4th ?

May or may not need to modify trans or shifter lever arms to make it fit or work due to difference in trans designs or mounting of shifter.
Use a shifter that has P,R,N,D that look like it belongs in car, and add the paddles later if you think you will be needing to hold a gear or be up shifting & down shifting to keep engine in it's power band in completion.
