Default Dyno The Bird TC Question

Went to a shop this past weekend 3/20/04 and My 00 Ws6 dynoed
Max power: 280
Max TQ: 260
I bought the car with the stall Covn. in it already so I dont know what size it is or where the RPM range it. 39,000 miles on it. I dont know if they knew what they were doing or not. They didin lock the converter. Went with a friend 94 LT1 and it did the same thing and he only got 235 max power.

Need help if anyone knows anything. Thanks

I was told it was a 2800 or 3000 Stall. but I'll have to wait to get home to post the graph.

Numbers are low for a dynojet, but probably fine for a Mustang Dyno. You dynoed strong compared your buddy's LT1 so that is a good sign. Find others from your area who use this dyno and compare results.

odd an unlocked converter should flash alot of torque. take a look at my dyno (near stock/stock converter) versus cam/bolton/verter/gear and you'll see what i mean.

the car would baselined before the mods, and dyno'd identically (method). obviously dyno #'s dont mean alot with a verter/a4 but track times do.

but good to baseline never the less.

yah if they dont have tech2 or efilive pro they probably cannot dyno it correctly. It's not as easy as it sounds the whole gear lock, tcc on, hit the gas, tcc pwm on etc.

i'm guessing those that do this alot have it down pat.
