Default Torque converter? what to buy?

Well i found out my tranny sh*t the bed and took out the converter. I had a TCI and now I 'm gonna upgrade. I'm Really Undecided on A Circle D, Edge, Vigilante, Yank, Rev Max....? my car is at the tranmission shop apart, I gotta get one ordered and shipped ASAP. What's the best bang for the buck, This is hopefully the last time I have to drop 700+ on a TC for a while. I'm trying to factor in price, shipping ,quality, & performance in my decision. Help!

What drivability difference between 3200 and 4000 stall. i was thinkin at least a 3200 stall that is what im programmed for but i was wondering about 4000..I want to get a good track time then probally just mostly street driven.

i liked the 4000 more than the 3200......

of coarse the 3200 was a bit easier to get going, almost stockish.

but i liked the big kick in the assss of the 4000 stahl, just me.

good luck!

If I had to chose one, I'd say Circle D. They are all great converters no doubt, but I think the way Chris does business is excellent. He is knows his stuff, and answers the phone when you call him. The product is well packed, and looks very professional, far better than others I have bought in the past like TCI and Hughes products. If lead time is a factor, he custom builds them fast. I had mine in less than a week, and have heard that from others too. I would never bash a Yank, or PI they do set the standard, but there are other good products out there too, and I like the personal touch you get with the smaller manufacturers.

Circle D +1 for me too. They seem to be bulletproof.

Circle D. Yank. Vigilante. FTI. All good converters and you really cant go wrong with any of them as long as you have the correct stall for your application.

As others said, can't go wrong with any of the mentioned converters. I personally chose FTI, the converter in my car is an absolute beast.

I think thats what I'm Doing....I never got around to talk to Dave at Yank cuz Cris @ Circle D was right on it when I filled out the spec sheet at 9:00 on a sunday night, within no time i had an E-mail from him. It's not purchased yet but I am waiting for an Email with shipping Quotes and then it will be a done deal.
