Fresh Built Trans Question I just rebuilt my first 4l60e for a 94 LT1. My question is how much fluid do I need to put in the trans? It is installed empty with maybe a quart in the converter.
Stock converter and stock pan it will hold ~12 quarts. Put 4-5 quarts in it, start the engine and add another 4-5 quarts while it idles in park, check fluid level with engine idling in park and add more if necessary.
