Hey guys I am doing a Auto conversion on my FRC Corvette and swapped my Manual parts to a guy for his Auto parts. This is the transmission I got from him. Does this sound normal? O and before someone points out it looks like the tail shaft is contacting the flexplat.. Its not.. Looks that way. lol

i dont think ive ever heard one do that. doesnt even sound like a band dragging either. sounds like metal on metal. i know someone will chime in on this one. did yall trade straight up?

 

Yes All his Auto parts for all my Manual parts. Nice guy.. Im just a little worried about this.

Normal. Incidentally, moving the shift lever on the side of the transmission while there is no fluid being pumped around by the pump doesn't do anything. You aren't "changing" gears, you're just moving the Manual Valve.
