okay i'll bite. i've explained this alot lately.
tci ssf 3500.

taking off on level ground with the lightest of throttle leaves 2000-2500 rpm's.
more throttle is more like 2500-3000 (or an inclined hill) to keep sustained 30mph (speed limit).

once i reach about 30mph (3rd) or 40mph (4th) the converter locks, same as stock converter looseness over.

Now. The 3500 WILL NEVER in your life on a 4l60 likely flash to 3500. You'd need a trans brake or something crazy to do that (nitrous?).

Just stomping the gas (FLASH) will result in a lower rpm range "engagement" Look at my dyno (baseline/after 3500). You sorta can't see the stock verter engagement cause the rpm's aren't on the dyno, but you see EXACTLY where the 3500 ssf hit's from a flash. appears to be 2750rpm (roughly). and then your blow the hell out of the tires (nitto DR's) because the shock is far too much.

Hence why i brake-stand to 2000rpm on a launch then nail the gas, my tires/suspension can't handle a flash stall. Most people on DR's or streets would never attempt a flash stall.

Okay i haven't answered your question, but if you are on a roll and it depends on what gear/rpm, you will nearly instantly shift gears and end up in the 4600-5000rpm range with this verter.

I say a video is worth a 1000 words. Watch my patethic "I JUST GOT THE CAR BACK FROM THE TUNER/INSTALLED FIRST DAY" of flash launching the car on nittos' (25psi hot). The funniest part in retrospect is me trying to turn the ASR back on as i sit nearly still at like 30mph (speedo reads 50+ roasting tires). ASR won't turn on if you are already blowing the tires off.

At the end of the video you can see what happens when im on the freeway and you nail it.

I hope this paragraph and the video link provide you with some answer. If you like i can go take more video's of what a stall is/does, other than driving one, a video is the next best thing.

The above poster is obviously very knowledgeable in this subject. Here is my slant.

I have a 2001 Z28 with a Y3000 2.0 STR., 3.73's, and from a stand still at a red light, when it turns green, if I remove my foot from the brake, the car will roll, if I give it gas the RPM gauge will rise faster than the speedometer to 2100 RPM, and the vehicle will start to accelerate (this is the converter slip). Basically from a dead stop, when I stomp on it, I go from "Farfiknugen" to "Fukenmovin", I do not really know how to explain it. With aggressive exceleration on the upshift, the vehicle will shift at 5500 RPM, and come out of it at 4200RPM (shift extension), keeping the vehicle in the power band.

Hope this helps

Normal driving with a stall is not really all that much different than the stock one. Just feels different. I can leave a light with my PT4000 without giving excessive gas.

yah but i could pull off a light at 1300rpm's before converter, thats not gonna happen with any decent sized small 9" verter unless you got some manual lockup switch or something.

I can make my car go at less than 2k. That's acceptable to me. I used to hate the fact it launched at such a low RPM.
