Default 4l60e CONVERTER SWAP?????

Hey guys, I want to swap a "stock" 4L60e converter for another "stock" in hopes of MORE STALL. I have been told that a converter from an Envoy or anything with a 4.2L engine should give me around 2000rpm's of stall.

Question is....Has anyone ever made this swap? What were the results? I'm doing a rebuild on my 4l60e now and just want to buy a gm "Stock" converter from the parts house because of the price. Don't want a 700.00 unit. I am upgrading my cam to a XR281HR cam in my 5.3L in my truck. Just trying to help low end pull.

Thanks, for any info......Thanks Guys!!!

Getting cheap now, could cost you more later on, ...

But in response to the original question, I've never heard of anyone doing that, .,,

Lots of ls based truck owners (like me) on ls1truck.com running circle d or tbss ones.....actually a very common swap
