Default Stage III trans + stock 10 bolt. Asking for trouble?

So I'm currently having a stage III 4l60e installed. I would have used mad dog, but this car is my dd, so I couldn't take the time to send them my transmission.

Only issue, is that I still have a factory 10 bolt with 3.73's in it. With this new transmission, am I just asking for trouble down the road? The guy that's installing my stage III said he has a Dana S60 with 4.10's he'd install for $2800 out the door. I really don't want to spend that money right now if I don't have to.

Would it be worth it right now, or should I wait and find something else?

Its a toss up with the 10-bolt as usual man, you never really know when one will decide to let go. But with that being said I have seen then survive 10sec passes behind an auto. And my buddy ran his just about every weekend on nitrous running low 11's & his lived for several years this way with 3.73's in it.

My 10 bolt has taken the abuse of hundreds of mid 11 sec passes and hasnt failed, but many many years ago I had the factory chunk taken out and an EATON unit put in with a rear end girdle. Its still a 10 bolt though, I will see how much longer it holds up once the 416 thats in progress at the moment is finished

I've seen plenty of 10 bolts go for 10 second passes, only with Autos though, never with the six speeds.

How many miles on it?
You never really know when they will go.
I had a bone stock 99z on street tires and it broke. Only had 50k.
Had a 98z street tires never broke had 75k.
My 01ss has 108k and has high 11s + 1.6 60's and is still ok.
I say just let it go for now.
