Default recalibrate pcm for high stall

The newest Super Chevy mag May04 has an article about do's & don'ts with the LS1.They say "if you go above 3400 stall you'll need to have the computer recalibrated.Otherwise, the PCM will think the trans is slipping".Is this true.If so I have a 3800 yank prothruster what would I need to adjust in LS1 edit to fix this problem.

Thanks for any comments
