TC Huh
Let Me first off start by saying i dont own a LS1 or LT1, I know i'm a Posser.
But my question was this, I have a 4l60e in a s10 and wanted to upgrade my torque converter, the place i went is champion converters, they said that they can rework a corvette converter to have a ballooned hub and a big bearing and this would stall higher than my stock tc because a vettes stall is higher. This sounded good untill i though about it, the corvette puts more power out than a s10, right? So would a s10 with a reworked corvette converter stall lower than my stock converter?
Tell me if i'm wrong or if this guy is feeding me a line

you wanna go fast? get a 9" converter, the 12" is huge mang. The less mass plays alot in efficiency and stall. But you do need to tell the builder what your torque band is like. Indeed the stall is directly built and rated for specific torque output.
So if you're down 100wft/lbs down low versus an ls6, you want a stall 1000+ rpm's higher ya know? Call up a real builder, like TCI they are like $500 they might have a nice BIG stall that'll do your trick.
bending the fins on a stock converter is lame.
