4l60e to th400 swap
Got a 2002 trans am ws6 with a ls1 and got a really got deal on a tci th400 with a trans brake. I know i need a crossmember and torque arm relaxation kit New dipstick. What else?
Can u use the stock shifter? Any information would be great.

I did a TH350 swap. You will also need a driveshaft and have the computer tuned to eliminate the computer reverting to the stock limiter when no vehicle speed sensor is detected. I am not sure on the stock shifter. I installed a hurst shifter in mine. Try the advanced search for "TH400 install" under this section.

If its your daily youll hate it Shoulda done the 80E its a 400 with Overdrive thats what my 95 Ram Air is gettin & your LS computer can be programed for the 4L80E Way better swap in my book Id sell the 400 & get one if you drive on the street more than strip

The hardest part of the swap was getting the Madman dipstick to fit. They sent out a set that wasn't bent correctly for the LS F-body. Since then they have corrected the issue. I wired the speed sensor into the left front ABS sensor. I had to program the computer. The only downfall is that you will lose your ABS. I think PATC sells the correct adapter for the TH400/350.
