Default If I Did Change...

Quick question, what difference do you notice with a bigger stall? I have a Vig 2800 now, but have I have been wondering what changes I would see in driving, rpms, shifts, traction, by going with a bigger stall?

You would have a looser feel at take off for normal driving , Once the converter locks it will feel just like your 2800 does , performance would depend on your Tires and traction, shifts will feel alittle softer , And your shift extension will be higher which is good because your motor will not drop as much rpm when it shifts and have to play catch up back to its power band.

I have been thinking about the same change. Just worried that N20 will make the stall too high.

Ed, I know your Vig is track tested, does it stall around 3200 for you? The only reason I have considered a little bigger stall, may be a 4000, is to run a bigger cam. I am thinking that something like a 229 or 230 is going to be as big as I am going to be able to go with this stall. Thanks boomcase for the excellent explanation.

Thanks for going to the trouble and checking for me Ed. It is nice to talk to someone with the same stall, and someone who actually has used it properly Nice ride by the way.
