a friend at work has a 77 Firebird with a TH350/301 Pontiac motor,he wants to know if he can swap the TH350 to a chevy 350 motor?GM has a universal bellhousing bolt pattern correct?I wanted to make sure before i give him a definate answer.Thanks

 

Well there is such a thing as a multipattern 350 however they are rather rare the chevy patern will not bolt up.

 

really a 350? go for like a 400
