Which Yank? I have decided that Yank is probably the best company for a high stall TC. Thoughts on this? Im thinking the SS3600 or 4000 would be good for me but I would like some input from the guys here who have either. Mods in sig
I have a SS3600 and it is a very tight convertor. That being said I want a SS4000 or a PT4000 because my 3600 is too small for my current cam ( MS3 ).
If you're going to get a cam in the near future I'd try to pick one then pick the right stall for that cam...

I have the ss3600 in my dd and it's a nice converter. My car just has bolt ons for now and I love it. Personally Iv been thinking about the pt4000 since I still have a free restall.

I agree with the suggestions above. However, on the PT series subject, when I spoke to Yank he really recommended a 7k shift to maximize the converter. Before selecting a PT series from Yank, I'd call Dave up and talk it over with him.
I'm actually thinking about keeping the SS3600 and swapping the cam out. The more I drive the MS3 the more I don't like it.
I thought that the 3600 would be able to flash past the low end loss of this cam and I wouldn't really notice the lag but I was wrong.
I'd rather have a cam with more power/torque down low instead of a peaky cam.
I've been researching a lot. Something in the TV2/3, F13/14 or the El Torro seems to be a better fit

I have a yank ss4000 I had a bolt on car I wish I went ss3600 if you are going to add a bigger cam go ss4000 but stock Cam ss3600. I just added a 54-428-11 and just got my tune back from frost . Can't wait to run it.
I just installed a SS4000 stall I have a bolt on car and it takes some getting used to but I love it. I'm waiting to get it tuned because I'm adding 373 gears and getting rid of the shitty 273 gears.
