I have a pro-built automatics 700r4.

I need to change my wot shift points. Its shifting around 4600 rpms and I need to be around 6200.

To my knowledge I need to change out some springs on a side service cover of some sort?

How do I know what springs I need?
Can I get a new cover? The guy that built my trans suggested I get a new cover.

have you adjusted the TV cable?

 

The trans guy might have? I know he messed with the kick down.

What's the tv cable? Sorry for the noon questions. I don't know much about trans's.

 

The B&M 20248 kit is whats needed. It takes a lot of trial runs and adjustments. I took the short cut and trimmed coils off the light spring making my 1-2 shift around 6000. I start in 2nd so after the 1-2 I manually shift to 3rd.

 

Where can I get a new governor cover?

Edit: anyway I can just put it in drive and go?

 

Is this something I should attempt to do? Or have the trans guy do them?
