noob question about the 4l60e
doing a project car that is getting a 00-02 ls1 motor and will be seeing a 4l60e. theres one for sale around here from a v6 camaro and another form a 96 tahoe with 4wd. which one of these would be most compatible i have heard the internals were different on the v6 camaro 4l60e. i just want to make sure it will mate up to the ls1 and if need be i can get some things changed to handle 400rwhp. would not be seeing anything over 400 to the rear and would have a mild stall.

if you can you need to go ahead and get a built one from a sponsor such as FLT or RPM. 400rwhp held on mine for a while....but I knew I was on borrowed time.....even with the shift kit and new servos and stall and tuning.
If you are interested I have that transmission for sale...
If you will pick it up I will let you have it for $200. It has 41k original miles and came off of a 2002 WS6. It shifts just like it did before the ls1 let go.
Here is a video of how it shifts.

Just get one out of an fbody and save yourself the time and hassle. They are pretty cheap for a used one anyways. Most of the members on this site are really good, you might find one locally.
You run into odd differences, like the truck ones dont have holes to hold the torque arm. So that means to need to buy an aftermarket one, so add on another $200-$300.
Just get the right one.
