4L60E shifter problems
Okay so I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 all stock. When my car sits for a while it has a really hard time shifting from park to reverse or drive. I almost have to force it. It feels like it has a bunch of back pressure and then it finally releases and allows me to shift freely. I think it may be the shifter its self or may need a tranny fluid change?
I don't know all help will be greatly appreciated.
Also in the future I want to do a 6L80E from the 5th gen camaros and want to know what all I need to do the swap so I can start planning

It's the brake interlock solenoid malfunctioning that causes that. The shifter remains locked even though you're pushing on the brake. My car used to do that, and I'd really have to force it to get into gear. It just quit doing it after a while, though, and hasn't in years now.
