t56 to a 4l60
i bought 1995 camaro z28 with a 4l60 transmission... the computer and wiring was gone with the car along with the motor
we put the motor from a 1997 camaro z28 6speed in the car along with the computer that had the tune on it for the motor (383 stroker)
now our problem is : we need to keep that computer for the tune but yet agan we need a pig for the automatic and even at that the computer wont read when to shift for the automatic???
has anybody even converted from a t56 to a 4l60 and kept the t56 computer and wiring??? what needs to be done

No one else has replied, so let me take a shot...
The PCM needs a base OS reflash (sometimes called a segment) to change it from a manual to an automatic. That generally just requires sending it to a good PCM tuning shop. The bigger issue will be the harness - you will need a different OEM harness or you will need to make some significant additions to your current harness. You might consider looking for the correct harness and PCM at a junk yard.
Warning - I don't know all this for sure, so lets see if someone else corrects or confirms me.
