4l80e cross member
4l80e cross member I need a crossmember for the 4l80e i'm swaping into an f-body. Does anyone make one that lets you mount the torque arm to it?
I have read MWC crossmember requires the use of a short torque arm, which I don't want to do. Also the BMR one doesn't look like it has provisions for the torque arm mount.

BMR and Yank make a 4L80e crossmember with an option for stock torque arm mounting.
I asked MWC about that "option" and Eric said there isn't enough room to run the stock torque arm. Could this be an up-sell into his torque arm? Possibly.
I haven't had the chance to visually see the clearances myself just yet. But I will note that "most" that run 80e's have aftermarket torque arms of some kind- all chassis mounted.
As far as hacking up a stock 60e crossmember, I haven't seen anyone do that for an 80e application since the 80e is longer than the 60e. Anything can be done with a welder and some metal though.

We have definitely fixed the clearance issue with the BMR 4L80E torque arm relocation crossmembers that we had issue with a while back. The 4L80E transmissions are so big that everything has to be positioned just right to make everything fit without any clearance issues. As far as I know we have taken care of everyone that has contacted us with issues on the 4L80E crossmembers.
