Default how to remove trans line fittings?

I have what I believe is a torn o-ring inside the lower (rearward) cooler line fitting on a 4l60e. The trans is in the car, but I can't seem to remove the fitting...i lowered the crossmember. I can hardly get a wrench on it. I can get a swivel socket and an extension down to a ratchet, but the angle is pretty much 90 degrees and it will not turn. Ideas?

if I understand your problem, skide back the small plastic protecter and you will see a small c clip use a small 90 DEG pick and pull the c clip and then pull stright out on the line it has a " dog not " on the line which is helt in by the c clip
you do not un screw the fitting, to re install the line re insert the c clip back into the fitting then slid/push the line back in, slide the plastic washer/cover back over the c clip
do not know about the leak, I would clean the line with brake clean or something and be sure where it is leaking

hope the helps, Johnny
