Getting frustrated with electronically controlled transmissions and have no funds left to convert to 6 speed. Which is the cheaper swap from 4l60e and how would I go about that on an LS1?

Going with a TH400 myself, sick of my 4l60e. I would recommend TH400, rather than an overdrive trans, unless you want a long hual cruiser for MPG.
