trying to find me a 4l60e tranny. my freind works at a junkyard and says he has one out of a 1500chevy truck but its a 4.8 v8. he also has a bunch of 4l60e trannys but they were out of v6 and the bellhousing are bolted on. but i heard something about the shafts are longer and something about pumps are different and have to buy adpators or something???
i would do a 4l80 but everyone says you have to cut the tunnel in a 68 camaro if you want to use it.. and theres no way im cutting... car is to straight..

Tell us what engine you are using and what year transmissions are available.
If you have an LS engine a '98 or later trans will make so much easier.
