Default car stalls when coming to a stop

i just swapped a a4 for my m6 and i used the tci ez-tcu. i had the trans rebuilt at the same time and put in a used 3400 stall. i finally got enough fluid in to where it'll shift through all the gears. but when i come to a stop it really fights the brakes and will stall. my rpm's are like 1000-1200 at idle. could my idle be too high from the m6 tune? the scanner doesnt show that the converter is locked up. or can it be in 1st gear? the scanner also shows that it goes down to 1st gear too. im gonna have to do a lil more fine tuning with the trans still. when i first leave to drive it, it doesnt do it until i go down the road and come to a stop. i'd finally start it in first and it'd get going. but i dont want it dying every stop lol any input would be wonderful

The TCC is getting applied, either because of a major tuning problem, an (unlikely) trans assembly error, or a problem in the converter itself.

Check the tune first (especially because you changed the PCM from manual to automatic). Last thing to try - drop the pan and filter; then remove the TCC solenoid (2 bolts); remove the 0-ring from the solenoid and install it with 1/8" spacers between it and the case. This leak makes it impossible for TCC apply fluid to reach the converter. If your car then still stalls, IMO it has to be the converter. (This happened to me when one of my "experiments" ruined the converter.)

Well the pcm is unchanged. I'm using a stand alone controller. So first does have a tcc solenoid? It didn't do it when I drove up town after. I think I need to keep messing with the tune

With a fully locked TCC the engine will not idle; it would be like being in gear on a manual with the clutch released.
