Default torque converter locking and unlocking

I have a 93 Trans Am. Totally stock with 112000 thousand miles on it. Shifts great, no problems there. While driving down the freeway at 70 mph or higher if I start to give it some gas, I can see the rpms suddenly drop about two hundred and the car feels a little sluggish. Then it suddenly feels to hook up again and is fine. It doesn't feel like it is slipping because it still is in gear. I was wondering if the torque converter could be unlocking and then locking up again? Have any of you ever heard or experienced this before. Also, when I adjust my TVR cable it seems I get only two clicks out of it. Does that seem a little low? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time...Charlie
