what is the difference in the ls1 4l60e and the lt1 tranny? is it just the electronics and converter or what?

When I talked to a transmission shop they said that the transmissions from the LT1 had stamped parts and the LS1 has machined parts so the 4l60e from the LS1 is stronger

oh ok. im going to beef it up regardless i was just wondering if something major was different like the input shaft or something.
