Default Skip Shift Question

Do automatics have skip shift. I have a '00 A4 TA and when I take off from a light or stop slowly the car shifts kinda fast and take a few seconds to get back into a lower gear if I want to go faster....Or is it just something I have to deal with. Does the B&M Transpak help take care of that.

Sorry for such a stupid first post...I'm very new to F-Bodies...

I had a `99:

No "skip shift", but it does up shift quick and doesn't down shift (or unlock the converter) unless you give it a good bit of gas. It's the same idea as CAGS but not the same method; all to help you with gas mileage. A shift kit won't help, it will only make the tranny shift harder when changing gears.

FYI: your car, `00+, will also leave in 2nd gear if you put the selector in 2 instead of D (3 in t/a's) or OD. Why? I have no idea.
