vette stall work in fbody?
vette stall work in fbody? so a friend of mine recently had a trans built by a local shop, they gave him a great deal on a 8 mile old stall that was in a vette. (owner of the vette didnt like it so they put in a smaller one for him)
anyway, we yanked is old trans out, installed the new one, and the converter was about an inch gap between the converter and the flywheel.
now i know the converter has to twist in and lock 2 times, which was done by the builder.
after its locked in is it ok to pull that extra inch i need to secure it to the flywheel? or is it just the wrong converter?
builder has already agreed to deliver a new converter free of charge and help is with the reinstall.
but if the converter will work id rather not wait
