Default Need help with finding a 4k-4400 stall

Hey guys i have a ms3 cam ported heads and 373 gears.. Currently have a 3600 billet brand stall which is no where near enough stall for the cam.... I also want to run a 100-150 shot down the road but even when i do run the nos it would only be about 10 percent of the time... I want a stall that is a minimum of 4k but id like something a little higher closer to 4400... Anyone running a high stall with nos and having success? Ive talked to yank and fti and got their recommendations but id also like to hear from guys with it in their cars? They both recommend a 3800 but im just afraid that i wont be maximizing the stall on the motor since i plan to have the car mostly on the motor and not nos. But like i said i do need something that can handle the nos every blue moon.. Any thoughts guys.... I was looking at the yank ss4000, yank pas3800 and the fti ls8082 or the fti ls6391 thanks guys

I think a 4000 will be fine just will have to give up some rpm when spraying, not really a big deal since its not going to be living on the spray.

im a newbie when it comes to the spray/converter thing.. by give up rpm you mean shift earlier... what would happen if i didnt shift earlier? wouldnt having a window switch that programmed the nos to come on and off at certain rpms fix all of that?

A Tq converters slip % and stall speed are dictated by Tq imput. If the converter was built for 400hp/Tq then you hit it with another 200tq it will cause the converter to slip more, which will make it less efficient up top in the rpm power band. Basically you can't have the best of both worlds with a converter for NA/NItrous. If you want NA performance, your top speed will be reduced on the bottle. If you want nitrous performance, the car will be a slug on motor.
