Default tq converter question

looking to get a converter for a 2000 ls1, any suggestions? I hear that for 5.0 mustangs 2800 stall is good, same logic for an ls1?

Also, anyone suggest of a tranny cooler?

i recommend a 3200-3600 with a 2.3-2.5 STR....good street drivability and a kickass launch!

2800 is not really that great for an LS1. a 302 ford is a torquey little motor but an LS1 makes all its real power up above 3000 rpm.

I agree. I went with a 3200/2.0 and I just sent it back this week to go up to a 3600/2.0. Go big your first time b/c if you don't then you'll be doing the same as I am down the road.
