Default What does everybody think...

Hi guys, I was planning on doing an entire transmission rebuild this summer, but I don't think I really need it just yet. Like the sig says, it's still not road legal. I don't want to get my r-title, be able to finally drive it, then have to have the car down for the summertime on a tranny rebuild. Anyway, my problem is that I have a 3700 stall and a transgo shift kit to put in it. First question would be, could I get away with installing both of these (with a a big *** trans cooler of course) w/o running into any problems for the summer season? Or, does anybody think I'm going to tear the hell out of the stock tranny? Of course I know my rear is going to be a ticking And, as far as the stall speed vs stock cam, what's everybody think? Should I just wait to install everything at once, or can I go ahead and have some fun this summer w/o killing my car? BTW, is there any difference b/w a transgo kit that says 93-97 and a later one??? I was sent one that said 93-97 camaro/firebird and other vehicles on the outside of the box. Thanks everybody!

deep pan
big *** trans cooler (most sponsors sell wimpy ones)

no problems with my rear end taking a crap, no noise, but i did put a zexel in, so peg-leg burnouts.

my trans is fine so far, i drive 99.99% city which is extremely abuseful (low mph, high temp, mostly unlocked).

don't see a problem if you set it up right and treat her good. i got 71K on my tranny and its not slipping that i can tell. hell it shifts faster than expected (ie shift point desired=6800, shift mph=255 actual shift = 6603) so i don't know what that says, and i have tcc (unlocked) on shifts.

nitto's on street
some ET action. But log your trans temps i was hotlapping 20+ runs last event at 225 trans temps so i need a bigger cooler, deeper pan (Than stock) and something because that will indeed kill your trans fluid quick.

That's a sigh of relief! How do you think it's going to react to the stock cam? And, anybody have any info on that 93-97 shiftkit. Thanks!!!
