Default 4l80e billet shaft???

I am arguing with my trans guy that I will need a billet input shaft in my 4l80e. (1000 HP tbss), and he doesn't think I need one due to the fact that there isn't any billet planetary case for the shaft to go into. What do you guys think?

The stock shaft will break between 600 and 1000 usually.
Stock planet usually doesn't break until over 1500ish. I've seen them strip at around 1000 a couple of times.
