Shipping Transmission

Shipping Transmission Hey guys what's the best way to ship transmission in a Rubbermaid container or pallet. N if anyone has any pics of hoe they did it post em up. I got quotes for about 300 doing either or, taking it to the terminal.

"Remove your transmission from the car and visit your local Wal*Mart-type department store. Purchase a 45 gallon Sterilite or Rubbermaid-type container like the one pictured above. You will also need plenty of packaging tape and material (cardboard, blankets, pillows, etc) if you don't already have them. (NOTE: Corvette, Viper and all TR-6060 transmissions require a 50 gallon container. Any container over 50 gallon will be charged a $50+ oversize fee by UPS.)"

i had one come on a pallet, shrink wraped, tied down
you might find a trans container at a dealer they would give/sell you
be interesting to hear from vendors how they do it-not cheap though

I'll use cardboard boxes to cushion n support it. I have access to a **** ton if boxes at work. I unload and stock at target so I can just easily put some away for myself.
