Default tci rebuild kit 4l60e

hey gearheads, new to the site but in a bind. have a 1997 silverado 4x4 with a 4l60. problem is with tci kit having more steels and fiber plates than fit in the 3/4 clutch group. should i just leave the extra's out or WTF?

All 4L60E (at least '95 through now) have the same input drum. I highly recommend a 7 friction 3-4 clutch (as used in the 4L65E) or even 8 friction.

Make sure your 3-4 piston is completely seated. Make sure your have a #7 3-4 clutch spacer. To test 3-4 clutch clearance, you can assemble the drum with just the 3-4 piston, 3-4 spacer and then all the 3-4 clutch parts.

How many frictions and steels came with your kit? Can you measure their thicknesses If not, go to Harbor Freight and get a Digital Caliper for $10.
