Default 4L60E yoke

All right, first stupid new guy question, but Im sure it won't be my last. A little background to start.... just picked up a junkyard 5.3L and 2wd 4L60E (2004 trans Im guessing by the "4CHD" tag on it) to swap into my '66 F100.

Dawns on me today that of course I need a drive shaft. So far my searches all seem to say that any TH350/700R4/4L60E equipped vehicle uses the same slip yoke at the trans. Only thing I have found that disagrees is TCI yokes listed on JEGS. The TCI dimensions show the PG/TH350 yoke being much shorter than the 700R4/4L60 yoke.

So is TCI just special or can I really pull any D/S from that list of transmissions? I would prefer a steel D/S, but haven't yet looked to see when they made the switch to aluminum shafts in the pickups. Gonna have to have it cut anyways and figure out what u-joint I need to mate it up to the Lincoln rear end in the F100.

I'd get a DS built with bigger joints. I know the ones one the cars are pretty tiny.

Since no one more knowledgeable had answer yet, let me just add the little I know...

When I had a custom driveshaft made for my 4L60E, it noticed the yoke was much longer than what I had for my TH350. Therefore, I think you want a 700R4/4L60E yoke even though the splines are the same.

Thanks. Good to know, first hand knowledge is always nice.

Now I just have to figure out when GM made the switch to aluminum drive shafts in the pickups. Want a steel shaft anyways, but Im not sure my drive shaft guy even screws with aluminum. He's kind of a crotchety old bastard.
