Default Which new vertor for my set up?

I have the VIG 2800 right now, and it works fine with the stock 2.73 gears. However, I will be upgrading to 3.73's and I will also be adding a 150 wet shot to the mix. I was thinking the SS4000 to retain a small level of streetability, but now Im not sure. What do you converter gurus think? My mods are in my sig. Thanks.

seeing that your a little high on miles...is your trans still the stock trans? Is your rear end still the stock rear?
if it is still stock trans you might want to try and have VIG restall yours to 3600 which will be closer to 4000. Also if your rear is still the stock one i would be a little hesitant to throw 150 at it. maybe 100shot. i say this because of the mileage on the car. hope this helps

I would spray it first and see how your vig does. Then decide on your upgrade strategy from there.

remember as your stall increses your shift quality decreases. and as far as adding gears that will only improve your drivability. Like stated prior i would test out your car first cause having 2.73 gears is about the worst thing you can do to a higher stall converter. BTW get 4.10 gears you'll be happy you did

How do I decide if my VIG does "ok" with the spray. Do I just look at track times and 60ft times?

Could you elaborate on what I should do? Also, I thought some convertors where "made" for spray? (i.e. ss4000 vs. ss4000e) This convertor was in the car when I bought it, so I really dont know to much about it or how it would deal with a 150 shot.

When I upgrade the convertor, I plan on installing the gear at the same time or already have the gears in beforehand.

The reason I chose 3.73's over 4.10's in my auto is because I see alot of freeway driving in LA. I want to keep the RPMS a little lower at 70-80 mph not to mention hopefully saving a few gallons of gas per tank. Thanks for your input.
