I had that converter and found it too loose for street driving. In contrast my Yank 3600 is much tighter; simply no comparison. If you cannot now afford $500-$750 for a new converter, wait until you can. Compared to the TCI, sponsors CircleD and Revmax have much better converters for $500, but they and Yank then have even better converters around $750. This is a case where you really get what you pay for. $750 can easily "get lost" in engine mods, but $750 for a converter will make you very happy.

We highly recommend Yank. At Gearstar, we've used Yank for 11 years and have not had a issue.

Our stage 3 would be an absolute perfect fit for you. I would go with a 3600 stall
