4l60e leaking from breather? When I go WOT and pop the hood, at times I notice a small red splash of trans fluid by passenger side and after a few runs I have to add about half a quart or otherwise she will hit rev limiter at 6k and bounce off of it instead of 6500 when theres plenty of trans fluid and she shifts fine. This morning I put her on a friends lift to take a peek to see wth that leak its coming from. Well from under the car I saw a blue hose attached on tranny making its way up to what it seemed the front of the car moist in red fluid. [hose not visible from front of car with hood open] my friend suggested to take car to a tranny shop because that hose its from breather and its not suppose to leak from there. Any thoughts? sorry about the long post. and thanks in advance for any help.

Today i noticed the blue hose its attached to a nipple that was custom made on the tranny and the other side goes to vent tube...Why would someone do that? that hose was drenched in trans oil after i went WOT on the hwy...
is there any reasoning behind doing that?
