Default How do I flush a Stall converter

Hey everyone,
I am looking at ordering a complete Monster race 700R4 transmission. http://www.monstertrans.com/store/pr...ssion-2WD.html

This is my daily driver and will probably run to the track once or twice a year so I wont be very hard on the trans. I currently have a vigilante stall and want to reuse it. I want to make sure it is completely clean of contaminates. Do I just go get a trans flush on my truck the day before I swap in the new trans or is there a way to do it when I take the stall out?

Wow, I am suprised at how many complaints there were to the BBB against them. I looked into a couple other shops and have seen some good Transmissions. I still will have the issue and will need my current converter flushed. Any ideas on how to get that done?

As long as it is in good working order and didn't have a bunch of crap run through it you have to take the converter to a reputable transmission shop that can flush it out. No big deal, but you can't do it yourself.

The only way to clean it properly is to cut it apart and clean it then weld it back up. If trans didnt scatter and put metal everywhere you can fill it and dump it several times and it may help.
