How was yank suppossed to resond to this since he hasn't advised them of the problem? He posted like his stuff broke and yank wasn't gonna fix it. And yet he never called them! You post a bunch of crap but have you ever tried a Yank? If not I don't see where you have a dog in this hunt.
Like I said. It's not at all about the quality of the converter. For all, I know they can make great converters. I did not make any offense of the product. All I said is that it seems, YANK does not value their reputation much. And all I'm asking is for YANK to show value of their reputation. I do not even comment about their warranty issue or customer service. It just seems that YANK does not care at all to answer any complaints that people on this board make. And more importantly, if I have never owned an aftermarket converter, all I can do is go by other peoples word on how the company behaves. If all I hear is YANK is bad. And no response, What should I think? Oh, duh, I'll be stupid and buy an YANK? No. So to clarify, to H82BBad, YANK, and all those that think I hate YANK, I DO NOT HATE YANK. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF YANK IS THE TYPE OF COMPANY THAT CARES ABOUT ITS REPUTATION!!!!!

I cant believe I qutote myself. H82BBAD, I even assume, without ever owning one, that YANK makes a good product. All I'm doing is adding up points for what people say about these companies, and YANK is dead last. Do they care???

I'm sorry if I offended you, YANK, or anyone else.

Come on H82 stop acting so silly. We all know Yank's C/S SUCKS. I refuse to use a different converter as I have 3 F body's all with Yank converter's. I believe they are the best made converter and my car is just plain faster with a Yank converter. I have used Midwest converter's and PI converters and Yank just out performs them. Their C/S is down right awful though. Pick up your damn phone right now and call. Guess what no answer as I just tried. Now leave a message and see if it ever gets returned. I tried this at least 15 times and have never recieved a return call. What do I do? I keep calling. Why? Because I want a damn Yank converter. I bite the bullet and acturally beg them to take my money because I dont like to loose races.
Maybe someday this will change but for now their C/S is dead last.
Ask Angie at thunder racing, you know how many Yank converter's they sell per year? I imagin quite a few. The last converter I ordered I bought it through Thunder racing because I got so tired of trying to get someone from Yank to answer their phone. You know it took Angie 3 days to get the order placed because Yank never answer's the phone or return's messages.
Come on that is Bullshit.
BTW YANK IS STILL MY FAVORITE CONVERTER, and I will not switch.
Their number is 479-632-6355, and if by chance someone does answer then the C/S is awsome.

As long as the customers are willing at accept poor service then the company will never change.

I also think that Yank builds a good converter (IMO it is no better than TCI) but there is no way in hell I am ever going to stand in line and beg a company to take my money. This is especially true if it is a company (YANK) who’s QUOTE=JZ'sTA] C/S SUCKS. Their C/S is down right awful though. [/QUOTE].

I know. Trust me I kick myself in the *** everytime I change converters.
I hate the fact that I beg for a company to take my money and if I ever try TCI and their product works as well then Yank will NEVER have another cent of mine. This is why last time I just called Thunder racing and allowed them to handle the BS. I wish what I said wasn't true, but it is, and you are defentially correct when you say as long as we keep buying nothing will change. In the world of racing there are many bumbs in the way and many headaches. It seems like thing go wrong all the time. Because of the fact that I like to win I allow myself to put up with the bumps in the road and headaches. When I come in first on race day it makes all the BS seems so much better.

i am not going to say anything of what caused our Yank to go bad, i honestly don't know... i have heard that now, the converter that we supposedly bought brand new from Speed Demon Motorsports was put in another car before we bought and it we were not told... who knows.. i will never know the truth...

the converter looked brand new...

but just calmly explain your situation to Mike, we did, and everything fell together... if you still have warranty, give him a call, you can't lose anything...

read my posts in this section about Yank... there are about 3 over the last month!

i sincerely hope that everything works out, converters and transmissions don't grow on trees....

Fuxk it throw your powers around and end this thread. I am stating Facts. If you or Yank dosen't like to hear the facts then either dont read or tell Yank to fix their C/S. Every member on here that has delt with them knows about this problem. I know Yank sends you a nice check every month to be a sponsor. This site is intended to inform people and that is simply what I am trying to do. I still buy from Yank and am in no way telling people not to buy from them, just to be prepaired you will have to call 5-10 times before you get a answer. When you get someone on the phone the service is awsome and Mike defentially knows what he is talking about. Also I have stated the product is second to none. If you guys didn't throw out all the other real informational posts about Yank's C/S then these people could just do a search and get the info they are looking for. Makes no difference is you end this post as I know what to expect from Yank and will continue to use them unless I find another product that meets or exceeds them. I just feel bad for those who come here to find this info and have to figure it out on their own.

PS. I know you are just doing your job and you did ask very nicely. I am just throwing out my oponion that the statement you made is BS.
Nothing personal as my comments were directed at your comment, not you as an person.
Thanks, and let the people learn.

JZ, My comments were not soley directed at you or anyone in particular. I was referring to all of the posts that started bitching back and forth at each other. I would prefer if everyone kept their posts professional and to the point. You can rip into a sponsor with your opinion. But do it without bashing other members opinions as well (directed to all).

FWIW, I get paid nothing to moderate here. In fact, none of the moderators do. The sponsors you dearly love and hate, pay for a spot over there --> so that you can voice your opinions here. Both positive and negative.

My intentions for relieving the bashing here is based on recent events in other forum topics where the bashing became overly excessive and a problem for many involved. I'm not against providing the information. But I'm also not going to allow those problems to breed in this forum either. Now you know where I'm coming from.

I am satisfied with Yank and Their Postion Regarding these Matters. Case Closed.
