Need help adjusting 4l60
What's up guys I'm in desperate help of adjusting/tuning my transmission
I'm about to go tommorow to get a dynotune for my 02 ws6 a4,bolt ons,ss3600 stall,2.5 5.3 heads, torquer v2 and I want to tune my transmission because its not shifting as hard as it used to when I had the stock convertor on it...I want te shift to hit a lil harder and I want to actually feel my downshifts! Should I remove torque management? Adjust line pressure? If so what do I set it at? The shift points are already adjusted and they're fine...I just want to feel the tranny drop gears harder and shift harder...it's a stock 4l60e w/31k miles on it...any help will be appreciated! Thanks guys!

A higher stall converter will soften shifts, especially shifts where the after-shift RPM is below the stall speed.
Many (most?) people here remove or at least reduce torque management, but that might be risky with a stock transmission. I'm sure others have opinions on this...
You can increase the shift line pressure - e.g. try changing anything between 20 and 30 to 30; and then anything less than 20 to 20. (Smooth it if you like).
I would recommend installing the Sonnax 4L60E-LB1 boost valve ($25). It only requires dropping the pan and filter and a pair of snap-ring pliers. It will increase your line pressure across the board and allow a higher pressure at WOT.
