New converter does not fit flex plate I got a new FTI converter but it doesn't fit my flexplate. I guess the bolt pattern is different than the flexplate and my old converter. Are they not universal??? Neither of the 2 bolt patters on the converter will fit. Some advice here please. I guess I need to buy a new flexplate. This is on a TH400.

Looks like you are running the stock flexplate with the LS bolt pattern and the converter probably has the 400/350 bolt pattern setup. So I would suggest getting an aftermarket SFI flexplate with the 350 BP. Also make sure that you are getting good engagement on the pilot to crank fitment.
