Default Trans. Problem FIXED

Well most of you have seen my post about the trans. not shifting into OD or 1st.. Well I finally fixed my problem! I was going to try 1 more time before I said f-it.... I took the trans pan off and was checking all the connections.. I was going to unplug the soleniod on the drivers side in the front of my trans.. I went to unplug it and the whole plug and all just fell out... I thought for sure that was my problem, I took out that solenoid and it was also broken... So all together I had a solenoid in 3 seperate peices I replaced it and the car shifts perfect everytime..... Anyone have a clue how this happened? BTW the solenoid I replaced was the TCC PWM Timing Solenoid... (I think thats what it was called)

That's a wierd, the solenoids I took out seemed like pretty solid pieces. Not sure how one could just fall apart like that?

Either way, glad you got it up and running again. Mine's back on the road too, I just need to drain a little tranny fluid out (over filled it ) and I'm good to go. Thanks again for the tips!

Usually when you have a problem like the broken harness connector and/or the broken sol. it is caused by heat. NOT neccessarilly overheating! Not totally uncommon but still rare. Did you replace the harness as well? All the connectors have been subjected to the same amount of heat so any could be bad. Just a thought.
Anyway, glad it's fixed. Can't figure what that had to do with 1st but, oh well.

Good to hear you've got the issue sorted out. I know all too well how annoying transmission problems can be
