Simple answer...yes if you want. What is your cars set up? How do you normally drive it? Do you need to do an 80e because you are making too much hp for a 60e?

Switching to a 4L80E involves a new torque converter, cross member, PCM tuning, trans harness mods, a different yoke on the drive shaft, new trans cooling lines, minor hammering/mods to your tunnel and other details.
As mjs1012 implied, stick with a 4L60E if you are making less than 600HP.
Well build units from sponsors cost undre $2000, which is typically less than swapping to a 4L80E.
